You Say Either, I say "F--- off"

Courtesy of Bill, who made this observation to me in an email:
CNN reports:

Cheney called Edwards Tuesday morning to to congratulate him. A spokesman for Cheney for described the conversation as "brief and cordial".

Does that mean Cheney DIDN'T curse out Edwards?

I too got Bill's e-mail (for those interested, I'm Daniel's sister and Bill is my husband), to which I responded, perhaps Cheney is waiting for the debates. In which case, I can't wait to see Michael Powell try to figure out how to respond! ;-)

A follow up to my previous comment --

Since we were away over the weekend, I'm only just now catching up with the Sun. NY Times, but Frank Rich's column in the Arts & Leisure Section this week is spot-on on this topic. Among his observations:

The day Cheney made his comment to Leahy was the very day that the Senate voted, nearly unanimously, to increase the penalty on broadcasters who broadcast "indecency" by nearly a quarter million dollars. Moreover, this legislative move was set off, in part, by the use of the very word uttered by our vice president, by Bono at the Golden Globes award ceremony last year.

When John Kerry used this same term in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine in Dec., presidential chief of staff Andrew Card went on record saying, "I'm very disappointed that he would use that kind of language."

You can't make this stuff up.
